Games Untold English Version

In English: Games Untold by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is a collection of short stories and novellas set in the beloved world of The Inheritance Games. The author returns to her signature characters — the Hawthorne brothers, Avery and their inner circle — and offers stories that did not make it into the full-length novels: a first meeting, a secret night in Prague, an unlikely friendship between a "cowboy and a goth," five times the fiery Xander tackled someone, and one night inside the old treehouse. As in the series itself, there are grand estates, secrets, intellectual games and sparks of romance, but the shorter format lets Barnes be playful and immediate. The collection was conceived as a gift to devoted fans: it unpacks allusions readers might have caught only in passing and deepens their understanding of the characters without requiring a reread of the whole saga. Readers also get peeks at dynamics that echo through the later Grandest Game spin-offs, making it a useful bridge between series. At the same time, each story stands on its own and reads effortlessly. Games Untold is a chance to stay in the Hawthorne world a little longer, and enjoy another serving of puzzles, wit and youthful intrigue.
